Here's a model of a wagon with an interesting history. It is drawn full size so please scale to suit your model.
These wagons were rebuilds of wagons that were originally Palbricks some of had been previously converted to Coil wagons and then subsequently to these 16 Ton Mineral wagons. Because of the borrowed underframes they had a 10ft wheelbase and a body that was 1ft longer overall compared to the standard 9ft wheelbase 16 Ton Mineral wagon.
It makes an interesting variation in a rake of Minerals. There were only 394 of them built from 1975 compared to the hundreds of thousands of standard types built. Because they were rebuilds of various types of Palbricks there was variation in the brakegear, so check a photo of the wagon you intend to build.
Buffers and brake cylinders are available from my other designs.
Enjoy
