The file '1024:1 Planetary Gear Set Derived From “Tiny Planetary Gears Set” By Aubenc 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 1.4MB.
I was very impressed by the "Tiny Planetary Gears Set" by aubenc but had trouble with the long screws so have redesigned the connecting system.
My design uses D section rods which are printed lying down, and spacers to position the ring gears correctly. More parts to print, but easier to print and easier to assemble.
The ring gear has been modified to accept the D section rods.
I've also modified the design of the crank - I've used a left hand thread so the handle tends to self tighten when the crank is turned clockwise (with the crank nearest you and the gear set pointing away from you).
Note that this design requires the sun and planetary gears, and the planet holder from "Tiny Planetary Gears Set" http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:23030 to be printed at TWICE THE STANDARD SIZE (so I guess that they're no longer tiny!).
As I have heaps of tiny components I'll probably post a similar design for the original "Tiny Planetary Gears Set". I don't think simply scaling down will be good enough because I think that the clearances will be too small. But it might be OK with a bit of fine scaling adjustment in your slicer. Also, I'm thinking of making it 10 stage.
