This is a mag release for a 10/22. This directly replaces the factory mag release button with no other modifications. This style release allows for the operator to pull back on the release much like pulling a trigger.
I found I prefer this style of mag release over the other available options. I had an aftermarket one in an old 10/22 but can no longer find them available.
