The file '1.5″ Inline Radiator Hose Filter 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 4.6MB.
This is a 3D printable version of the popular inline radiator filter. These are primarily used in classic cars with old, rusty or corroded water passages. Without a filter or constant cooling system flushing, your radiator will slowly plug up as more material breaks free and floats away.
Has 1 1/2" OD inlet and outlet barbs. I may add additional sizes later to accommodate additional common upper radiator hose sizes.
I've included a 3D printable screen filter and 3D printable coil spring, of course metal alternatives would probably be more durable.
.5 mm layer height for the spring, .15 for everything else.
Polycarbonate is the preferred material for actual automotive use. Nothing else has a high enough glass transition temperature to take the heat or underhood chemicals. I've had good luck with E-Sun EPC filament so far. Bed temp of 100c, nozzle 270-285c.
For the O-Ring TPE is preferred, but TPU might also be a possibility.
