1-100 Horses-Napoleonic - Horses for Napoleonic Wars Cavalry - Rev 3

These are 1/100 (15mm) Horse figures for Napoleonic wargaming.

I revised my Napoleonic era horses and am uploading them all as a set. This started out as a fairly simple task to make the tails more robust; I ended up re-doing all the saddle blankets/shabraques/saddles. I corrected some glaring errors and improved a few things while I was at it. Added grass-like supports under raised feet in lieu of simple posts. Added detail at noses. Shortened reins to reduce conflicts with riders.

"Types" of horses vary by the horse furniture, primarily the shabraque (saddle blanket) and the pistol covers or other items at the pommel, in front of the saddle. Some have saddles; some don't on the assumption that the saddle would not be visible when the rider was seated.

All these horses have full tails. The British typically bobbed, or cut short, their horses' tails; these will be uploaded with the relevant British rider figures.

Horse Types:
0 - Draft horses - Near Lead (left front, with saddle), Off Lead (right front, no saddle), Near Wheel (left rear-most, with saddle), Off Wheel (right rear-most, no saddle)
A - Rounded shabraque, based on the British Light Dragoon
B - Pointed shabraque, based on the British Hussar. Front corner is rounded, rear corner is pointed
C - Square shabraque, typical of some heavy cavalry. The shabraque extends to the front of the saddle. Four styled pistol covers at the pommel.
D - No Shabraque, for civilian and some general officers.
E - Short Square Shabraque. The front of the shabraque is close to the girth, so roughly the back half of the full shabraque. No Pistol Covers at the pommel.
F - Short Square Shabraque-A. Similar to E, but with a rolled blanket/greatcoat strapped to the pommel
G - Spanish Dragoon. Full shabraque with slightly rounded corners, less rounded than type A. Two simple pistol holsters at the pommel.
H - Spanish Irregulars. Spanish Dragoon shabraque with a serape draped over the horse behind the saddle.
I - Spanish Hussar. Rounded front corner, pointed rear corner, two simple pistol holsters at the pommel
J - Leopard skin Shabraque
K - Sheepskin Shabraque - French.
L - Short Square Shabraque-B. Similar to type F, but with a shorter rolled blanket/greatcoat
M - Short Square Shabraque-C. Similar to type F, but with 4 styled pistol covers at the pommel

There are 6 poses for each type:
1 - Standing with front feet together and back feet together. An artificial pose, but my starting point for animating all the other poses.
2 - Standing more realistically/relaxed than pose 1
3 - Walking
4 - Trotting
5 - Cantering
6 - Galloping, or charging
